o____o

Even though, as you wrote, the awesome sound is rather the result of the effects, it sounds freaking incredible.

Hellstick responds:

Thanks man, compliment appriciated:)

Cold and cool

Very nice and intriguing melody, although it's a cover so the credit for that goes to the original authors I guess.

However, the choice of instruments is good. I wonder what the main melody instrument is.
The atmosphere reminds me of huge snow-covered plains just before sundown.

Darkmoor responds:

think the original instruments is singing and maybe a gitarr. been so long since I heard it. about the atmosphere in the song I can only guess its becouse here where I live there's just forest and forest and look, even more forest so guess its about all the emptiness here.

Hmmm

Weird intro. It could continue into a pretty decent song though, I guess.

ShinyArmor responds:

I dont really wanna finish it.
thanks for your review
Hey! if you want to or know anyone who can, i can give you the .flp and you can continue with it.

Lol at that voice

Not a fan of the genre, but I guess this is pretty decent. The hoarse roaring is sufficiently repulsive XD The singing is good btw, so are the melodies. I also like the break towards the end.

I've got one complaint though, maybe it's just my headphones, but the volume seems to fluctuate at times. Maybe it's something with the compression?

shesmackshard responds:

I dont hear anything on my surround sound, car system, or headphones. But thenj again Im probably so used to the song I might overlook something.

The grunting is something more common of death meta or hardcore. Its all in a person's taste, considering that vocal section is my favorite of the whole song.

thank you very much for the review

Time for a review from me again :P

I have listened to all of your 2008 songs in the past 2 days, and I'm sorry to say that only this and Eclipse are the ones that I really liked. It's not as if the rest were bad, I can listen to them as a background, but... they just didn't grab my attention. Eh ignore me, my taste is too picky when it comes to DnB/Breaktrance/anything of the sort :P
So, about the song. I like the stereo effects (except for the part where you move everything to the top of my head - thats what it sounds like with headphones) and the whole atmosphere of the song. The pace is slow, the instruments are not too flashy, but the melody is epic. This contrast creates a mood of supressed fury, a murderous anger concealed... the kind that makes that muscle above the side of your mouth twitch...
Loved it. 10/10

TheComet responds:

I havn't seen your name around in a bit :)

You might like Severed Pride when I eventually get it done, I've got a link to a demo of it in my journal if you want a quick listen ;)

Not ambient... wait, what the...??

Lol I was going to write that this should go to classical and that it would sound better without the pauses between the notes, but then I noticed it was ment to sound like this. And it sounds weeeeird. But good. The delays make it chaotic and disturbing, but I guess it's also supposed to be like that. Almost sounds like the score of some weird film. Good job.
Bad title though. I couldn't relax to this, it's too strange :P

drlgamer responds:

LOL ok

Wow this is fast... Speedcore & Bass? Hehe

Good use of that dirty bass. I know which FL instrument that is but I forgot the name... haven't used FL in a while. Speaking of FL instruments... That square synth instrument with the fast melody... ehhh I've heard it too many times to really like it. You made a good job with its melody line though; until 3:02, where the second melody comes in and it begins to sound dissonant. That really hurts the ears, but thankfully you abandoned it and after that the song got kickass again. Except the melody flaw, it's nice work.
Check out my stuff if you have time:P

Catchy

I'm not a fan of this genre, but I liked this one. The melody was really good, although the singing could have been a little more powerful.

I'm on a reviewing spree MUHAHAHAHA >=)

LittleDrummerBoy responds:

Thats cool that you were not being bias toward the genre so I really respect that. Thanks alot man. I appreciate the review alot!

Whoa, your voice truly is spinechilling LadyArsenic... in a positive way. Really awesome singing, quite unlike anything I have heard yet, and the music itself is also very good. The pitch change at the end, although a common effect, makes a very good impact here. I only have one problem with this, the drums. The single type of drum makes the song sound unfinished. I just miss the snares or a second kind of kick, at least during the non-chorus parts there should be some. That's the reason for the 8. Sorry but I can be picky about drums :P

MaestroRage responds:

^_^ Thank you very much. This was my first time stepping outside my own lines, and I'm happy to hear that I did relatively well. And yes, I know. > >; Those darned drums... See, I'm not used to working with any kind of percussion, since all of my songs are normally gentle and more ambient. So that obviously was a rookie error. Don't worry though, dearie, I'll work extra-hard on it next time just for the lot of you, alright? =3 Thank you for listening!
With love,
LadyArsenic <3

whatever

Interesting style, nicely diverse. Could use some reverb though.

Crsttarocks responds:

Thanks, some reverb to the song, hmm now to find out what reverb is lol
